Most of the people I know recounted how difficult it was for them to engage in house hunting that some actually ended up losing their life savings because of sheer bad decision. My experience in house purchase however was exactly the opposite of that of my colleagues and friends. Trivial as it may seems, I would like to believe that house hunting for me was an easy ride mainly because of meeting a highly reliable Sun City realtor.

Having full knowledge on just about anything under the real estate realm is a clear manifestation of how passionate a realtor agent is. This, I believe, translate to full service for its clients.    Hands-on agents are more reliable in successful house purchase. This is the practical tip number four that I learned in my house hunting experience with a Sun City realtor. Making time to directly cater to my needs and queries despite his busy line of clients waiting in line was definitely an extra plus for me. When asked why he is doing it all, he told me that he do have competent associates who can entertain his long list of clients. However, it was always his habit to be hands-on on just every aspect of their services   Finally, patience is still a virtue. Upon calling him and leaving his a message, I realized that expecting call backs from him right away is apparently not a good thing. In relation to this, it pays to give them a time off too as, like anyone else; real estate agents are people too. Making phone calls and queries even after office hours is never a good thing.    That’s it. When I was doing some house hunting before I became a Realtor myself, with me was a real estate agent.  He was a Sun City realtor since I was planning to move to Arizona.  As I was interacting with him, I discovered many qualities in him that made him a good real estate agent.  I want to share with you things I discovered working with my realtor.  Of course, I will just be sharing with you things that I found important that most people overlooked.  These qualities could be helpful to others when they want to find a good Realtor.

 A good friend referred this agent to me.  She gave me his number so I can arrange a meeting with him.  When I first contacted him, I could not seem to reach him at his desk.  I tried a number of times until I was able to set up an appointment with him.  Discovery number one: Good agents spend little time at their desk.  A good place to meet them is at open house.

After our first meeting, the moment I got home, I opened my PC right away and started to search in Google for that Sun City Realtor I just met. I was also checking some signs that the person is busy.  He is a hardworking agent but while he is working with me he does not spend his time talking on the cell phone with another customer.  And most of all, he doesn’t pass me to his assistant.  But that doesn’t mean he is a one-man show.  He also has a network and works cooperatively with other agents and he comes from an active office.

Discovery number four: I should not expect my Sun City Realtor to call me instantly if I leave a message.  He should be calling me back at a reasonable amount of time especially when he has results.  In addition, I should not be calling him after business hours.  He has a life too.   I should not be too emotional as well about every little thing and should learn how to trust.  After all, he does this everyday. I have to keep it in mind that the house that I am buying is a commodity so I should not be too emotionally invested in it.

These are the most important discoveries that I found when I was working with this Realtor.  This may or may not work with others.  But as for me, it helped me better to know and understand on what are the qualities of a good realtor.
